About the Role
Are you interested in intellectual property law, patents, trademarks, and copyrights? We are looking for an Intellectual Property (IP) Intern to assist in researching, drafting, and managing IP-related legal documents. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IP law, legal research, and corporate IP protection strategies while working alongside legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in researching patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
- Help in drafting and reviewing IP-related agreements, including NDAs and licensing agreements
- Conduct legal research on intellectual property laws and emerging trends
- Support in patent and trademark filings, documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Monitor IP infringements and assist in enforcement actions
- Work with legal teams on IP portfolio management and strategy development
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Law degree (LLB or equivalent) or a degree in Intellectual Property Law
- Basic knowledge of IP law, patents, trademarks, and copyrights
- Strong research and legal writing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal documents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
- Experience with patent searches and trademark filings
- Familiarity with IP laws such as DMCA, USPTO, WIPO, or GDPR compliance
- Understanding of technology and software licensing
- Previous experience in IP-related internships, moot courts, or legal research projects
