About the Role
Are you interested in leveraging data analytics to improve healthcare outcomes? We are looking for a Healthcare Data Analyst Intern to assist in analyzing medical data, identifying trends, and supporting data-driven decision-making in the healthcare industry. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health informatics, medical data analytics, and healthcare technology while working with industry experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends
- Work with electronic health records (EHR), patient data, and medical statistics
- Support data cleaning, preprocessing, and visualization for healthcare analytics
- Assist in developing dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
- Conduct predictive analytics and machine learning modeling for healthcare applications
- Research and suggest data-driven solutions to optimize healthcare processes
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy laws (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of data analysis, SQL, and statistical methods
- Familiarity with Python, R, or healthcare data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
- Experience with healthcare analytics tools (EHR systems, HL7, FHIR, etc.)
- Knowledge of machine learning for predictive healthcare modeling
- Familiarity with clinical data standards and healthcare informatics
- Previous experience in healthcare data analysis or research projects
