About the Role
Are you passionate about penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and ethical hacking? We are looking for an Ethical Hacking Intern to assist in identifying security weaknesses, testing defenses, and enhancing cybersecurity measures. This internship provides hands-on experience in real-world penetration testing, security auditing, and ethical hacking techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing on web applications, networks, and systems
- Identify and document security vulnerabilities and recommend fixes
- Assist in security assessments and compliance audits
- Work with ethical hacking tools like Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, and Wireshark
- Analyze and mitigate threats related to web security, malware, and phishing attacks
- Research and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and hacking techniques
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enhance security policies and best practices
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of ethical hacking techniques, security protocols, and network security
- Familiarity with Linux environments, command-line tools, and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and common attack vectors
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
- Hands-on experience with Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nessus
- Knowledge of bug bounty programs and responsible disclosure
- Understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Certifications like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP, or Security+ are a plus
