About the Role

Are you passionate about building scalable data pipelines and working with big data technologies? We are looking for a Data Engineering Intern to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure that supports real-time analytics and business intelligence. This internship provides hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, cloud data platforms, and database management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines for data ingestion and processing
• Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
• Implement data modeling and schema design for scalable storage solutions
• Work with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka
• Deploy and manage cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to enable efficient data access

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or Scala
• Familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases
• Basic understanding of ETL workflows and data pipeline automation
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS S3, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Lake)
• Ability to debug and optimize data processing tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

• Experience with Apache Spark, Airflow, and Kafka
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming
• Understanding of data warehouse solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Previous internship or project experience in data engineering
