Cloud Network Engineer Intern – Remote Internship

About the Role

Are you passionate about cloud networking, network security, and infrastructure management? We are looking for a Cloud Network Engineer Intern to assist in designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-based network architectures. This internship provides hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud networking, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in configuring and managing cloud-based network infrastructures
• Work with VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT gateways, and security groups
• Implement firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based load balancers
• Monitor network traffic, performance, and security threats using cloud-native tools
• Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues in hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Work on DNS management, CDN configurations, and network automation
• Research and apply best practices for cloud network security and compliance

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Networking, Cloud Computing, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, routing, DNS)
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking services
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network security principles
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

• Hands-on experience with AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, or Google Cloud VPC
• Knowledge of network automation using Terraform, Ansible, or Python scripting
• Experience with load balancing (AWS ALB, Azure Load Balancer, Nginx, HAProxy)
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, intrusion detection systems, and network monitoring tools
• Certifications like AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, CCNA, or CompTIA Network+ are a plus
