IoT Intern – Remote Internship

About the Role

Are you passionate about the Internet of Things (IoT) and eager to work on smart devices, automation, and connected systems? We are looking for an IoT Intern to assist in the development, deployment, and testing of IoT solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in embedded systems, cloud connectivity, and IoT protocols while working alongside industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and testing IoT applications and smart devices
• Work with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP8266, etc.)
• Develop and integrate sensor-based systems and automation solutions
• Implement IoT communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, etc.)
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Google Cloud IoT, or Azure IoT Hub)
• Support edge computing, data collection, and device-to-cloud communication
• Research and suggest improvements for IoT security, scalability, and energy efficiency

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of IoT frameworks, microcontrollers, and sensor networks
• Experience with programming languages like Python, C/C++, or JavaScript
• Understanding of wireless communication protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa, Zigbee, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

• Experience with IoT platforms (Node-RED, Blynk, ThingsBoard, etc.)
• Familiarity with edge AI and embedded machine learning (TinyML, TensorFlow Lite, etc.)
• Understanding of IoT security best practices
• Hands-on experience with PCB design and circuit prototyping
