About the Role
Are you passionate about ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, and cybersecurity? We are looking for a Penetration Testing Intern to assist in identifying security weaknesses, testing system defenses, and improving security measures. This internship provides hands-on experience in penetration testing, security auditing, and real-world attack simulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing on web applications, networks, and systems
- Identify and document security vulnerabilities and exploit proof-of-concepts
- Assist in security assessments and compliance audits
- Work with penetration testing tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Nmap
- Analyze and mitigate threats related to web security, malware, and social engineering
- Research and stay updated on new attack techniques and security trends
- Collaborate with security teams to develop risk mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and ethical hacking techniques
- Familiarity with Linux environments, scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell), and networking protocols
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and common attack vectors
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
- Hands-on experience with Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, and Nessus
- Knowledge of bug bounty programs and responsible disclosure
- Familiarity with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Certifications like OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are a plus
