About the Role

Are you passionate about cybersecurity, threat analysis, and ethical hacking? We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern to assist in monitoring, analyzing, and securing IT infrastructure from cyber threats. This internship provides hands-on experience in security analysis, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various security tools
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on systems and networks
• Assist in investigating security incidents and implementing remediation measures
• Research and apply best practices for cybersecurity defense
• Work with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, or Microsoft Sentinel) to analyze logs and detect threats
• Assist in developing security policies, risk assessments, and compliance reports
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and security trends

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of network security, encryption, and security protocols
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and antivirus solutions
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

• Hands-on experience with ethical hacking tools (Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark)
• Understanding of incident response procedures and forensic analysis
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (entry-level) are a plus
