About the Role

Are you passionate about Big Data technologies and eager to work on real-world data processing challenges? We are looking for a Big Data Intern to assist in managing, processing, and analyzing large datasets using modern data engineering and analytics tools. This internship provides hands-on experience in distributed computing, data pipelines, and big data frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large-scale datasets and assist in data processing and transformation
• Develop data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka
• Optimize data storage and retrieval in distributed environments
• Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data ingestion and management
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) for big data processing
• Analyze data trends and provide insights using SQL, Pandas, and visualization tools

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Big Data, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, etc.)
• Experience with Python, Scala, or Java for data processing
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)

• Experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing
• Knowledge of streaming technologies like Apache Kafka and Flink
• Familiarity with data warehouse solutions (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
• Hands-on experience with machine learning on large datasets
• Previous internship or project experience in big data processing
