About the Role
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands-on experience in securing systems and networks? We are looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to join our team and work on real-world security projects, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to enhance their skills in cybersecurity while working alongside industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities
- Conduct penetration testing and security assessments on applications and networks
- Monitor network traffic and security logs for potential threats
- Research and implement security best practices and compliance measures
- Assist in developing security policies and incident response plans
- Work with tools such as Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Kali Linux
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of network security, encryption, and firewalls
- Familiarity with ethical hacking tools and techniques
- Understanding of web security, SQL injection, and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and attention to detail
Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
- Experience with penetration testing and security auditing
- Knowledge of cloud security and identity management
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis
- Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP (in progress or completed)
- Previous internship or project experience in cybersecurity
